Many years ago I fell in love with the magic of Dutch light and its unique properties. It has been an ongoing love affair. The same light which already inspired the early Dutch Masters and since the overwhelming majority of my photographs were shot using this majestic daylight, it keeps on inspiring me to the present day.

 

So much so, that I decided to switch careers. Although I am a graduate of Leiden University with degrees in Civil Law and Corporate Law, I just had to conclude that the siren call was so much more compelling. In some sense I feel I traded one ars boni et aequi for another. 

 

Presently I live and work in the city of The Hague in the Netherlands as a professional photographer.
